Rutongo Embroideries, LLC, promotes the work of Savane Rutongo-Kibuye, a group of self-taught Rwandan artisans that originated in the small village of Rutongo and now work in the city of Kibuye in Rwanda, East Africa. These women work as a collective to produce museum-quality embroideries that beautifully render images of Rwandan culture.

Pax Rwanda: Embroideries of the Women of Savane Rutongo-Kibuye is a traveling exhibit that has been featured at the Museum of African Art of the SMA Fathers in Tenafly, NJ; The Textile Museum in Washington, DC; The Puffin Foundation in Teaneck, NJ; and other art spaces. Selected works are available for sale.
