This tiger peers inquisitively at his viewers, set against a charming backdrop of wildflowers and grasses.  The piece was done by a novice who failed to make her stitches consistent in size, resulting in puckering around the eyes. The effect of this “mistake” gives the piece added depth.

While tigers are not indigenous to Rwanda or even Africa, the artist has realistically rendered one here.
