This work depicts joyous Rwandan activities centered on the village, represented by the two central thatched homes. In the upper left, a musician plays the Rwandan harp, known as the inange. Men with raffia headdresses symbolizing lion manes, known as Intore, perform the Dance of the Warriors. Below, a woman enjoys a drink from an earthen vessel while her two young children play. At the top and lower left corner are grey-crowned cranes, beautiful birds indigenous to East Africa.

This embroidery was donated to ITAVA (It Takes a Village Africa), a non-profit, humanitarian organization that promotes education, agriculture, and healthcare for low-income people in Africa with a special focus on youth and local empowerment.
