“Milk Blessing” illustrates the Rwandan practice of showing gratitude for the gift of milk. Two young people present a village elder and his wife with containers of milk fresh from the cow. According to custom, the man touches the milk container and gives thanks to God for it. Only then is the milk used in the household. Cattle and all the products that come from them are highly esteemed in Rwanda.
